Begin with the agency that made the image. The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office list and detail can display a booking image with either an IN or OUT custody state. An official HCSO records request is the stable route when the live card is missing, unclear, or no longer available. FDC publishes an offender image for a person in its state system, but that image is not necessarily the Hendry booking photo.
Specialized FDLE registry images cover only people required by law to appear in that registry. An official agency release can also contain a photograph. Local reporting or a third-party archive may preserve a lead after an official page changes, but it is not the authority for release status. No commercial mugshot publisher or removal service is linked or endorsed here.

Hendry HCSO Booking Photos
The official HCSO Inmate Search displays a name, image, detail action, and VINE status-notification action. The detail can include inmate ID, descriptors, age, custody status, booked date, charges, bond information when supplied, and the image. Research observed both IN and OUT records. An OUT card with an older booked date remained visible, proving that some images can outlast custody without establishing a guaranteed archive period.

The official list connects the photograph to an HCSO record, while the detail supplies the booking and point-in-time custody context.
The image does not prove why the person was released. HCSO does not publish an actual release timestamp, reason, destination, or sentence expiration on the observed detail. A bond amount is not proof that a bond was posted. Read the Hendry Clerk docket and request the release record when the legal or custody event must be established.
Note: Save the source, booked date, and check time with the image so a later viewer can distinguish booking from release.
Request Hendry Booking Photos
HCSO’s Public Records Request page sends requests to its GovQA system. Ask for the exact booking photograph tied to one person, inmate ID, and booked date. A narrow request is easier to locate and reduces the chance of receiving an unrelated image from another booking. Florida Chapter 119 does not require a requester to explain a purpose.
- Collect the full name, HCSO inmate ID if known, booked date, and related Hendry case number.

- Ask for the booking photograph tied to that booking, plus the booking and release record if context is needed.
- Request electronic delivery and ask for an itemized estimate before work exceeds a chosen amount.
- Review the response for the correct identity, source, booking date, lawful redactions, and release fields.
HCSO’s GovQA guidance also accepts phone, in-person, and mail requests. It says a requester need not identify themselves, state a reason, or submit the request in writing. The agency does not publish an exact release-record fee or records-counter hours in the reviewed material. Call (863) 674-5600 if a mail addressee or in-person timing must be confirmed rather than filling the gap with an invented department or schedule.
Juvenile confidentiality, sealed or expunged material, victim information, active investigative records, security concerns, and other exemptions can limit access. A custodian should identify the statutory basis for withholding and provide nonexempt portions when the law permits.
Florida’s default Chapter 119 charges can include up to 15 cents for a one-sided page, five cents more for a two-sided page, actual duplication cost for other media, and up to one dollar for a certified copy. Extensive use can support a reasonable special-service charge. Those defaults do not establish a fixed HCSO photo fee, so ask for an estimate before production.
Context for Hendry Mugshots
A booking photograph is an intake record. It does not show whether an accusation led to conviction, dismissal, acquittal, diversion, or another outcome. It also does not reveal whether the person left on bond, completed time, entered probation, moved to FDC, transferred to ICE, or went to another jail. Attach the source and booking date, then use the court and custody records for those separate facts.
The Hendry Clerk’s official records-search gateway links to the criminal docket. The case may show bond or recognizance, a dismissal or nolle prosequi, plea and judgment, sentence with jail credit, probation, revocation, or termination. Its online record is informational rather than authoritative, so obtain the order when exact wording matters.

Hendry Sheriff App Photos
HCSO publishes a county-specific OCV app gateway for Android and Apple. It uses the same platform family as the sheriff’s VINE-backed web presence, making the app a reasonable place to check current official features. Yet the public store descriptions reviewed for this project do not verify a separately labeled inmate-photo module or recent-release screen.
Open the official HCSO app gateway and inspect the installed current build before relying on an image or filter. Do not promise that a feature exists merely because another county’s OCV app contains one. If the app presents a photo, retain the HCSO source label and booking context, and compare custody status with the official web record.
The app is an access surface, not a new record custodian. A photo there still comes from an agency record. Use GovQA when a stable original or a formal response is needed.

Hendry FDC Offender Photos
The Florida Department of Corrections offender network covers felony offenders sentenced to state prison or state supervision. It expressly excludes ordinary county-jail, county-probation, and other non-FDC cases. Search by the six-character DC number when possible, open the detail, and verify the identity and sentence history. The photo control on a search list changes presentation, not the identity record itself.
A former state prisoner’s release detail can include an FDC photograph, DC number, committed name, descriptors, actual release date, release facility, supervision link, sentence history, and incarceration history. That state image may have been made long after, or apart from, the Hendry booking. Label it as an FDC offender image, not as the Hendry County Jail mugshot.
The FDLE Sexual Offenders and Predators Search is narrower still. Its photograph and status apply only to a person required to register. Absence from the registry does not establish the absence of a Hendry arrest, booking photo, or release. Use a specialized registry only for its defined purpose and status fields.
Hendry Mugshot Removal Law
Florida Statute 901.43 regulates a person or business that publishes prior-arrest booking photographs and then seeks payment tied to removal. A photographed person or legal representative may send a written request by registered mail to the publisher’s registered agent. The request must include enough identity proof and specific photo information. A qualifying publisher must remove the image without charge within ten calendar days after receipt and may not republish or redisseminate it under the statute.
The law is not a universal erasure rule. It does not, by itself, order HCSO, FDC, a court, or ordinary news reporting to delete a lawful record. It also does not substitute for Florida’s separate sealing and expungement process under Sections 943.0585 and 943.059. A certificate of eligibility from FDLE is not itself a court order, and no result in a public search should be described as proof that no record exists.

The statute defines a narrow remedy against qualifying publishers and should not be presented as an automatic deletion command for official records.
Verify Hendry Photo Records
Use a three-part identity check. First, match the HCSO inmate ID or FDC DC number. Second, match the booked date, case number, or sentence history. Third, confirm the issuing agency. Physical descriptors can support a match but should not replace record numbers. If an apparent error exists, contact the custodian that created it and provide the exact identifier and a court order or source that demonstrates the discrepancy.
For a live HCSO image, read whether the record is IN or OUT and note the check time. For a photo saved from an older page, return to the Clerk or HCSO records request before describing current status. Official sources control. A secondary image can point to a name or date, but it cannot establish release by itself. Preserve neutral language, avoid sensational captions, and state that the image documents booking rather than guilt or current confinement.
Note: An image can remain public after custody ends, while a release record and court order provide the event and legal context.
